Coeur de Rouet HF
2007 Oldenburg filly (Balou de Rouet - Coeur de Championne v. Coriander)

Coeur de Rouet, our jumper-bred filly from the successful cross of Balou de Rouet to our wonderful Oldenburg mare, Couer de Championne HF.

Sire:
Balou de Rouet
(Baloutbet de Rouet - Continue - Domino)

Balou

Her bloodlines are full of successful jumpers including grand sire Baloubet de Rouet, Olympic and World Cup champion in show jumping with Rodrigo Pessoa.

Balou de Rouet: The crowds' favourite at all his appearances. His gaits are equipped with maximum elasticity and completing an excellent Stallion Performance Test, he was awarded top marks for jumping, 9.5 and 10.0 by the foreign judges. He promptly won his first jumping competition with ease. His impressive rideability is of great importance for his future development in his sporting and breeding career.

He emphasises his dominant quality as a producer in type, elegance and movement with numerous foals, who at various auctions have all been sold for above-average prices.

Sire Baloubet du Rouet, at the moment one of the most successful jumping stallions on the international stage (three-times World Cup Champion in a row, winner of many Grand Prixs, recent winner of the Top-Ten-Finals in Geneva, Gold Medal winner at the Athens 2004 Olympics), has an exceptional pedigree. Grandsire Galoubet is son of the great stallion Almé. On the dam’s side, through Rantzau, he is directly related to the founder of the bloodline ”Cor de la Bryere” from Holstein, the likeness can be seen in Balou du Rouet’s jumping style and ability.

Born in 1989, Baloubet du Rouet has won many of the greatest international show jumping competitions, including several world cup titles and two Olympic medals with the Brazilian team. In 1999, he won the World Cup Final in Gothenburg for the second time running, a feat that had only been done by 3 horses since the start of the World Cup competitions. At the World Cup Finals in 2000, he won for a record third time. He was quite successful at a young age, when ridden by Nelson Pessoa on the French circuit, including winning the 7 year old stallion test at Fontainebleau. His sire, Galoubet A, was also an impressive show jumper. Ridden by the French rider Gilles-Bertran de Ballanda, he won 19 International Grand Prix's and was on the French Gold Medal winning team at the 1982 Show Jumping World Championships in Dublin, Ireland.

Baloubet's dam, Mesange du Rouet, was out of the mare Bardine and by the well-known broodmare-sire Starter. She was therefore linebred to the great Thoroughbred Rantzau. She won 8 of 13 competitions at age four, and 5 wins out of 12 at age five, before becoming a broodmare and producing 5 foals. Mesange du Rouet was also the dam of the impressive Unadore de Rouet (sired by J'T'Adore), who attained a jumping index of 171, and went on to compete under Jean-Marc Nicolas and Olivier Guillon.

The son of Baloubet, Balou de Rouet, has proven his genetically predisposed jumping qualities at the 30 day test in Vechta in 2002, where he received a convincing score of 9.2 in this discipline. With his qualification for the 2004 German Federal Championship he finally completed the demanded performance criteria. In 2004, under Anita Sande and Gerardus Krijnen, he won novice and elementary showjumper tests, and was highly placed in the intermediate class. Balou du Rouet successfully "landed" at the 1.50m level.

Her dam carries wonderful Holsteiner breeding including many successful showjumpers. Damsire Coriander is also the damsire of successful jumper and stallion Calido I (25+ approved sons, 21 State Premium Mares and 470 offspring in sport). Coriander's performance record (from German Holsteiner Verband): HLP: Jumping talent: 8,0 Trot 8,0, Canter 9,0, Walk 9,0 With riders Peter Mohr and Wolfgang Schade, Coriander has won up to Grand Prix Special. On top of that, Coriander was Dressage Horse of the Year in Schleswig-Holstein 1994.
