Coeur de Championne, meaning "heart of a champion," is a lovely Oldenburg filly by the well known Holsteiner stallion, Coriander.  Coriander stands at stud for the Holsteiner Verband in Germany.  He was successfully shown through Grand Prix in Dressage.  Coriander comes from the very good stamm of 8776.

We feel the pedigree of a horse is a large indicator of the future success of the individual.  It is important to consider the ancestors in the pedigree of each horse to determine their value and potential for future successes.

H. Bernd Eylers writes of Coriander in 1996: "Corresponding to his sire's line he is getting [to be] a  versatile top sire.  His powerfully moving offspring from his first two crops in Ladelund made him one of the top stallions in Holstein.  His offspring have won advanced dressage competitions (Caligula 7, Copacabana 12) as well as advanced show jumping competitions, which made Coriander, like his sire Coriolan, a top sire according to the FN breeding-value rating...Coriander's son, Cameron, was licensed in 1990"

Four years later in 2000 Herr Eylers adds:  "His progeny have won advanced dressage and show jumping competitions which has placed Coriander at the very top in the FN breeding value rating, analogous to his sire Coriolan.  Coriander was exclusively active in competitions sport from 1987 to 1990.  Meanwhile Coriander has 5 State Premium mares and 7 approved sons to boast including Carlino, the 1997 vice-champion of the Holstein approval who is currently being trained as a dressage horse by Margit Otto-Crepin."

Her mother, La Championita HF, is an Oldenburger by Le Champion.  Le Champion stood for several years in the US. He was the Grand Champion of his 100-day test, earning a perfect 10 on his canter, and a record setting final score (broken only recently).  He carries the very important blood of Landadel and Furioso II.

In 2000 La Championita was awarded Premium status from Germany's Rheinland Pfalz Saar, earning 52 bonits!  She was the #1 mare in North America for 2000.

Le Champion won his 100-day test and held the highest score earned in North America for
over 8 years.   Le Champion is no longer breeding...his daughters
are generally not available for sale.

Cece produced two foals by Balou De Rouet, son of Olympic Gold Medalist Baloubet de Rouet.  Balou - the crowds favourite at all his appearances. His gaits are equipped with maximum elasticity and completing an excellent Stallion Performance Test, he was awarded top marks for jumping, 9.5 and 10.0 by the ‘foreign judges'. He promptly won his first jumping competition with ease. His impressive rideability is of great importance for his future development in his sporting and breeding career.

The first is a bright chestnut sabino colt named Babalou. This handsome colt was a premium foal at his Oldenburg Verband inspection. Babalou is being raised as a stallion prospect.

At the age of 2 Babalou has shown lightly at Dressage breed shows. His first outing brought home a blue ribbon for first place.

The second foal by Balou de Rouet, a bay filly "Coeur de Rouet HF," or "Bunny" as we call her, had injured herself before her foal inspection and therefore unable to show her movement to be eligible for a premium award. She is available for sale. Please see our sales page.

Cece was bred to the Oldenburg jumper Abke, a son of Accorado I. She produced a lovely bay colt in 2008 named Accolade HF, who earned Premium status at his foal inspection! Accolade HF shows outstanding qualities in conformation and movement.
