Ladykiller xx
(Sailing Light - Lone Beech
v. Loaningdale)

Ladykiller was a failure on the track. That he made it into the warmblood breeding associations is amazing. The story has it that he made it by .5 points!Ladykiller was a most impresssive Thoroughbred stallion, very masculine and handsome. He had three excellent gaits and a good temperament. Of all the Thoroughbred stallions incorporated into the breeding system in Germany, Ladykiller was by far the most successful proginator. He clearly transmitted himself, his type, head, correct foundation, and excellent jumping ability.
His best crosses by far were to mares who were themselves of good "blood." Henceforth came the sons Landgraf and Lord.
Ladykiller himself was not considered to be a sire of dressage horses, moreso a very excellent sire of jumping horses. The current trend in Holstein is to have horses bred 3 or 4 times to Ladykiller.
