Le Champion
(Landadel - Furioso II)

Le Champion was the leading foal of 2500 foals in Oldenburg, Germany in 1989. He was purchased at auction and imported to the US as a weanling by Lisa DeVito. As a three-year old he was graded and was sent to his 100-day test, where he was the overall Grand Champion, earning the highest score to date (broken only in 2000). Le Champion earned a perfect '10' on his canter, and 9's on his walk, trot, ability to work, willingness to work, and ridability.
Unfortunately, Le Champion had a short career in the breeding shed, and is no longer able to breed. He has a two approved sons and several Premium daughters. His daughters are difficult to acquire and are invaluable in the breeding shed.
I personally met this stallion back in January 1996. What an amazing horse he is, stunning in every respect. I feel honored to own a Premium daughter of this stallion.
Update 2004. I saw Lisa DeVito at the 2004 Stallion Performance Test at Paxton Farm. She now owns LC's 3/4 brother Landchampion, who looks quite similar to LC! Landchampion passed his testing and is now approved ISR/Oldenburg.
Lisa has LeChampion at her farm. She told me he is doing very well and is the king of the farm.
