We went ot a small show two weeks ago, and Eeyore was Reserve Champion in all of his divisions, winning firsts/seconds/thirds over fences and winning all of his hacks. The judge mentioned especially liking Eeyore and my sister's horse, Chip.

Update on Outrageous HF (Sept. 15)
Glenda, the owner of Outrageous HF (Owillie - Ripley xx), emailed me a short time ago, an update on Outrageous. They attended a dressage show this summer and did very well! The email is below:
Outrageous and I attended our first dressage show last weekend, the CLD classic in Springfield Illinois. We showed Training 1 and 2 both days. I am thrilled to say we came 1st in three classes and 2nd in one. The classes were well attended with 7-10 participants in each. Our scores ranged from 59-65 and could have been much higher if the tests had been “incident” free. By incident I mean bucking, he was so excited he couldn’t contain himself. Of course when he bucked he scored 2’s, when he behaved his scores were 7’s and 8’s. The judges said he was very talented with lots of potential. He is a fantastic horse and such fun to ride.
Update on Babalou! (Sept. 12)
Babalou, the 2006 colt by Balou de Rouet out of our mare Coeur de Championne HF, went to his first dressage show in Raleigh. He did well and won his first class. He moves on to show now at the Southern Hospitality breed show this weekend. His full sister, Coeur de Rouet HF, is available for sale.

RPSI Inspection at Hopeful Farm Sport Horses (August 27)
Yesterday was the inspection for the German Rheinland Pfalz-Saar. The inspection was here at Hopeful Farm Sport Horses. The weather was fantastic, sunny and mild with a light breeze from the north. We had 12 horses for the inspection, 3 mares, 8 foals, and a 2yr old filly for registration. Ripley's beautiful filly Wriddle Me This HF put on quite a show for everyone running, bucking, and squealing in the arena. She earned a Silver Premium award. Grace's filly Lorelei Champion HF, was the final foal for the day and was awarded a Gold Premium and she was the high score foal for the day! Thank you to the officers and judges for the RPSI, and thank you to the breeders who presented their horses. It was a fantastic day!
Foal Premium for Accolade HF! (August 20)
Yesterday was the inspection for the German Oldenburg Verband. The inspection was at Nancy Maloney's Crossroads Farm. Nancy is always a wonderful hostess. Our colt Accolade HF by Abke out of Coeur de Championne HF was given a foal Premium award. He received very good comments about his conformation and movement, and they were very pleased with his good bloodlines for jumpers.
Outdoor Arena complete! (August 6)
The long-awaited outdoor ring is finished! A project which should have been completed in May is seeing completion now in early August! The crazy weather we have had in Wisconsin this past year certainly made things tough. Photos to come!
RPSI inspection August 26 (July 10)
The date for our RPSI inspection is August 26! You can find information here.
The foals are here! (June 16)
Our final foal of the year has arrived! Grace delivered another stunning foal, a filly by Redwine (s. Rotspon), on Saturday morning in the early hours (read: 1:50 am!!) She was our last mare to foal this year. So this year on the farm we've had 1 colt & 2 fillys. The first was a colt, Cece's colt by Abke. Then Ripley's filly by Werbellin and finally, Grace's filly by Redwine.
Foal Cam, Update (April 29)
My popular mare cam can be found here for PC users, and I have been given a new link for those of you who are on a Mac computer, try this link. Mac users will need to have flip4mac installed.
Abke - sire of Cece's foal (April 29)
Cece's new colt is sired by Gerd Sosath's lovely stallion Abke. It was very nice to read on the Sosath's website that Abke recently won an international Puissance with Felix Ewald in Forst /Lausitz, by jumping over a 2.10 metre wall! Now that is jumping talent!
Wild weekend - foals arriving! (April 28)
Wow what a weekend! On Saturday my Oldenburg mare Coeur de Championne delivered her third foal, a stunning colt by the Oldenburg jumper stallion Abke by Accorado I. This colt is just lovely!
RPSI inspection (April 17)
Per an email from the office, right now it appears that Tuesday August 26 will be our RPSI inspection. More information to come in the summer.
Broken Records (April 17)
With the snow has finally melted, and the tulips and daffolids are poking up from the ground. I did a little sluething to find out what our official snowfall was for this past winter.
To backup a moment, this past winter was long, cold, and just awful. We had feet and feet of snow, not the normal for our area by any stretch. So officially so far (and we certainly could see more snow yet) was 101.4 inches. The record we broke was I believe about 75 inches.
It was a long winter, for sure.
Foals are coming! (April 7)
Foaling season is upon us, and the first mare is due in just a matter of a few days. Remember that we stream our foaling cams online, hosted by www.myhorsecam.com. Cam is usually turned on in the evening after 7pm. When a mare is closer to foaling we may leave her inside and the cam would stay on.
Congratulations To Christine Parks (March 31)
Christine Parks of Wisconsin has purchased our handsome young gelding French Kiss HF, or "Tigger" as he's known. Tigger was a gold Premium at his RPSI foal inspection, and is now going nicely under saddle in dressage. Congratulations Chris!
New video coming for Replikah (March 17)
I've had lots of requests for new video of Replikah, which normally should be difficult. But this crazy winter has made it nearly impossible! It's been so cold that the camera doesn't work, but finally it's warm enough, sunny enough, and the stars have aligned, and I have new video. I just have to pull it from the camera and upload the clips. Check out the sales page for the updates in a day or two.
Congratulations To Susan Burkhardt (March 15)
Susan Burkhardt of Illinois has purchased our handsome young colt Regal Champion HF, or "Reggie" as he's known. Reggie is sired by the popular Rohdiamant son, Routinier, and is out of the Queen of the farm, La Championita HF or "Grace." Reggie was a Premium foal at his inspection and earned the comment of being the best moving foal of all the "R line" foals presented that day. Susan is thrilled to have him and looks forward to showing him in some in-hand classes and then later, in the hunter divisions. Congrats Susan!
